My Mind Keeps Me Awake At Night – Does Yours?
Have you ever found yourself laying there in bed with your eyes closed saying to yourself … go to sleep, go to sleep …
yet you just can’t!
you stay awake …
watching the clock, thinking if you don’t get to sleep soon you’ll feel dreadful tomorrow 🙁
Well it’s probably because your mind is still processing all the thoughts you had before you retired for the night.
Your mind is like a computer …
it has multiple applications running all the thoughts you have …
and when you shutdown at the end of the day you have to shutdown your thinking too.
My Mind Keeps Me Awake At Night But Only If I Let It!
Have you ever found yourself waking up in the middle of the night with a thought of something you need to do the following day …
something that you really don’t want to forget to do …
something so important that it then keeps you awake with you saying to yourself over and over again I really mustn’t forget that!
Well again your mind continues to process thoughts throughout the night and when it comes up with answers and solutions it gives you the jolt to wake up.
But rather than lose hours of sleep here’s what I do that now ensures I get a solid night’s sleep …
have a pad and pen by the side of your bed.
When you are woken up with a thought, something not to be forgotten …
without opening your eyes and becoming totally conscious and disturbing your rest, simply pick up the pen and scribble your thoughts down ready for the morning.
You can then return to your night’s sleep having removed that thought from your mind so it doesn’t then continue to nudge you in order not to be forgotten.
In the morning you then wake up to a prompt of what your mind processed for you overnight.
You don’t have to live your life saying my mind keeps me awake at night …
you have the power to make this a thing of the past.
