Where do you go when you want to know something or share something living in this digital age ?

… I bet it is to your TV, Mobile Phone, Tablet or Laptop.

 

We spend a lot of our lives in front of screens, accessing information online and communicating with the world online.

This has however improved our lives as a lot of what we achieve today would not be possible without the above mentioned devices.

 

Where do you go in this Digital Age ?

We now have entertainment at our fingertips: music, films, YouTube etc.

Studying is eased by the internet opening doors to a wealth of information.

Working from home, improving people’s work life balance, is made possible thanks to online communications.

Social Media enables us to communicate with friends and family around the world, and also to share more of our lives from a distance.

We can also keep up-to-date with the news as it happens.

 

Information is at our finger tips, with now live in a digital age.

 

How often to you go there in this Digital Age?

The average person in the UK spends one day a week online, checking their smartphones up to 200 times a day.

Young people spend an average of four hours a day on their phones according to a report by Ofcom.

 

Is there a negative impact of living in this digital age?

Do you spend so much time on your device that you don’t pursue other interests or hobbies?

… most people admit they might struggle to go 24 hours without connecting to the internet.

 

Spending so much time in front of our device screens can result in a lack of exercise, which has been linked to health issues like obesity.

Violence on TV can affect people’s behaviour.

 

Is it time to limit how much time we spend on our digital lives?

How often do you see people sitting together so engrossed in their phones that they are too busy to have conversations with each other.
