Are You Not Looking Forward To Retirement?
This question was asked on a local radio station …
“Which happy milestone in your life are you not looking forward to?”
And they talked about turning 40, and having your daughter turn 18 and stuff like that.
Then one guy called in and said in a pretty sad, almost depressed voice …
“I’m not looking forward to my retirement.”
When he was asked why …
he said that he’s not sure if he’ll have enough income,
and besides he’s so used to going to work all of his life, and always doing something.
Something!
He didn’t say he loved or even enjoyed his work.
He’s just used to doing something!
How sad is that …
Here’s a guy, that sounds like he’s in his 60’s, who spent his life doing SOMETHING!
But it wasn’t anything special.
Heck he doesn’t even have enough money to live on without doing “something.”
And I love the comeback of the radio guy, who said …
“I will do what I’m doing ’till I die!”
It’s this kind of attitude and passion that gives you energy and excitement to jump out of bed in the morning and do what you have to do.
Why go through life doing something to then be not looking forward to retirement?
Something you tolerate.
Something that keeps you “busy.”
And not even making you much money in the process.
Avoid Not Looking Forward To Retirement
You only get one life …
unless you believe in reincarnation or something like that of course
… so why not make the BEST of it.
Why not go and find what you enjoy and do THAT …
NOT settling for something you tolerate and need to get through.
Oh and by the way, while you’re at it, why not make some money with it …
You might aswell 🙂
Well if your going to spend your time doing some kind of work, you might as well get paid well for it …
Right?
There really is no need for you to be one of the many people who are Not Looking Forward To Retirement …
