Having a Boss versus Being Your Own Boss
In today’s economic climate, the effects of the recession have seen many large well known companies fail, with unemployment levels reaching new heights, and continuing redundancies, pay cuts and freezes.
So why do people look for a job rather than choosing to run a business of their own?
Since the introduction of the minimum wage many companies will pay their staff as little as is possible, even though with continuing job cuts they want more and more work from less and less staff, but it does give you a guaranteed hourly rate in exchange for your time.
Many people live around the hope that their job will give overtime, extra paid hours, so they can top up their income, but as with life these extra hours are not guaranteed and if your lifestyle depends on this extra income it can leave you a little short!
